My journey started in 2008 when I visited and learned from different equine practices in the United States as a student. Dubai Equine Hospital served as my learning core for 12 years, working with colleagues from around the world in a state-of-the-art facility, with a high caseload of top equine athletes.
Since I was a toddler I always wanted to become a veterinarian, and I have always been surrounded by, and captivated by, animals.
Exercise has always been my pillar for mental and physical health, and I see horses as the most naturally gifted athletes on Earth.
During my 12 years in Dubai, my passion for understanding lameness as a form of art, through anatomy and biomechanics, led me to postgraduate training, which became even more interesting after the ISELP certification.
Driven by sports medicine and orthobiologics, I was awarded a scholarship at the University of Guelph for a PhD on treating equine osteoarthritis with stem cells. I am also a resident of the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation.
